ASUS and Xiaomi are working on their own gaming smartphones
ASUS is preparing an Android-smartphone, aimed at gamers. The device debuts under the ROG brand, which is widely known for gaming desktop computers and laptops since 2006. No details are currently available, but the novelty will be contrasted with the ZenFone 5 line, in particular, the ultra-premium ZenFone Max Pro M1. Most likely, the gaming smartphone ROG will be able to boast an increased amount of RAM and a display with a high refresh rate.
Similar developments are led by Xiaomi. For this purpose, a new subsidiary company, Black Shark, was established, which already acquired an official page in Weibo, but hasn’t yet had time to publish anything interesting. However, insiders are already talking about some top-end chipset and a high-performance cooling system that will save the mobile chip from the inevitable overheating during games with intensive graphics processing. Specifications aren’t disclosed, but we’re waiting for the first announcements already in the near future.
